The recently retired chief executive Lanto Synge was a well known scholar in this field and the author of the recently published Art of Embroidery: History of style and Technique. In the Mallett showrooms and on the Mallett web site, there are exhibited fine examples of crewelwork, stumpwork, samples, embroidered pictures, furniture with needlework coverings, embroidered carpets and additional unusual items.
