A Charles X mahogany gueridon having a narrow frieze with a beaded moulding at the lower edge. The top is supported on an elaborately turned stem with a boldly gadrooned base. This in turn stands on a tripod of boldly carved animal legs having an acanthus leaf scroll at the knee and terminating in brass casters. The table retains its original gris St Anne marble top with an elaborately turned moulding.
