A pair of Swedish Gustavian late 18th century green painted side chairs having coved backs with an upholstered back rest bordered with carved lotus leaf. The back is supported by a colonnade of baluster columns carved at the base with acanthus leaf. The chairs have turned tapering front legs enriched with further foliate carving, and at the back with sabre legs.
