A fine quality early 19th century Berlin mahogany armoire having a stepped pediment inlaid with boxwood stringing above partially glazed doors divided into four sections with scroll marquetry escutcheons. The lowest panel being veneered with boldly figured timber. The doors open to release the drawer at the base and to reveal a blue painted interior. The whole stands on square tapering feet. An exceptional feature of the armoire is that the veneers are continuous on each face from the cresting to the base.
