Your Questions Answered
Who provides your shipping costs?
Our shipping costs listed online are provided by our partner Associated Air and offer a basic shipping rate for kerbside delivery, exclusive of local taxes and charges.
Can you guarentee the quote is accurate?
Once we have reviewed your order we may need to look again at the method of shipping as your item may require crating or special delivery arrangements. This is covered in the Q&A below.
What are my delivery options for purchases?
We offer free delivery for London and the South East of England for items purchased from our London showrooms.
We can also offer free delivery for the New York State area for items purchased from New York.
Which countries do you ship to?
We are happy to ship to any country in the world, subject to local restrictions on certain materials. We can discuss this in further detail with you with regard to your particular order.
How long does delivery take and how much will it cost?
Once your order has been processed we will be touch with an estimated date. We will also be able to confirm the shipping cost to you.
Do you offer same day delivery in London?
Yes, subject to prior commitments. Once your purchase has been confirmed we will be in touch to arrange a convenient time for delivery to your home.
Is my package insured and will I have to sign for my order?
Your item will be insured by us until it has been delivered. Because your package will be couriered from our door to yours, you or your nominated representative will need to be available to recieve and sign for your delivery.
How much duties and taxes will I have to pay?
This is dependent on your country of residence and its local taxes and import duties, the value of the item, and the nature of the object. We have calculated the cost of US State Tax to be incorporated at the point of sale, if applicable.
If you would like individual advice on local taxes and charges, please contact us.
Do you ship to multiple addresses?
We can, although we would ask you to call us to arrange your order offline.
Why are shipping restrictions applied to some items?
Certain materials, including bone, ivory, rosewood and shagreen have restrictions placed on their import and export. In these instances, further permission needs to be sought in line with the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), and a license obtained to cover their export. There are some instances when there is a strict ban on items, in which circumstances we may be unable to complete your order shipping to certain destinations. We will provide expert advice on every stage of this process should it affect your order.
What packaging will my order be shipped in?
We will wrap your item/s securely.
What if my order is particulary fragile or over-scale?
In these circumstances, we would advise crating your purchase before shipping. Crates are individually made to suit the size of your object which increases the cost significantly. We will advise you of the anticipated cost, at which point you will of course be entitled to a full refund for your purchase if you are not happy to proceed.
We are unable to calculate the cost of crating online because it is bespoke. If crating is the only way we would wish to ship an item we reserve the right to refuse to send it by courier, in order to protect the works of art.
Will my items be gift-wrapped?
Items will be securely wrapped and we can gift wrap upon request. Please note that we may be unable to gift wrap in all instances owing to the size of the item.
